ProStructures CONNECT Edition Setup Guide - ProjectWise Managed Configuration

Create a new "Predefined" level CSB for ProStructures called PSCE_Configuration_Root

(This CSB will make the vital connection between the CSBs and the ProjectWise datasource.)
  1. In ProjectWise Administrator, under WorkSpaces > Managed > Predefined, right mouse click over the Predefined Level and select New > Configuration Block.
  2. In the New Configuration Block Properties, enter the name PSCE_Configuration_Root and the description ProStructures CONNECT Edition Configuration Root. Once complete, click Apply.

    The dialog title will change to PSCE_Configuration_Root Properties.

  3. Add the following variables and/or directives:

    Add Variable to thePSCE_Configuration_Root CSB

    Name _USTN_CONFIGURATION
    Description PSCE PW Configuration (_USTN_CONFIGURATION)
    Add Value Operation Type: '='- Assignment

    Value Type: ProjectWise Folder

    Value: Change value to point to ProjectWise WorkSpace, browse to pw:\\<server name>:<datasource name>\Documents\PSCE_Managed_Configuration \
    Locked YES
    Note: _USTN_CONFIGURATION defines the folder containing the entire Managed Configuration.
    Tip: Since Configurations can be version specific, the PSCE_Configuration_Root Properties CSB includes the PSCE (CONNECT Edition) moniker to designate and differentiate between configuration versions.

    Create new Global level CSB called PSCE_Global_Config_Variables

    1. In ProjectWise Administrator, under WorkSpaces>Managed>Global, right mouse click over the Global level and select New>Configuration Block .
    2. In the New Configuration Block Properties, enter the name PSCE_Global_Config_Variables and the description Global_Variables_ProStructures_CONNECT_Edition.Once complete click Apply. The dialog title will change to PSCE_Global_Config_Variables properties.
